ONLY BREATH... Cello, Elephant wisdom, & Spoken Poetry from around the world…
JAMI SIEBER ~ electric cello and vocals
KIM ROSEN ~ spoken poetry from around the world!
Saturday, May 31, 7:30 pm
at SHELBURNE FALLS YOGA STUDIO
(located down by the glacial potholes)
A revolutionary meeting between music and poetry that merges poems from around the world with compositions that flow from the depths of stillness to wild world-beat rhythms. Join Jami Sieber, electric cellist/vocalist and Kim Rosen, spoken word artist —for an evening that melts the veils between species, cultures and worlds. Jami’s lush visual and musical celebration of the bond between elephants and humans (which gave birth to her best-selling CD, Hidden Sky) is interwoven with Kim’s delivery of the mystical poems of ancient and modern writers from around the world (as heard on their new CD, Only Breath.)
The merging of story, image, music and poetry can open a portal in consciousness, expanding the mind, melting the heart and returning us to who we really are. www.jamisieber.com www.kimrosen.net
SEATING is limited to 100 tickets: this concert and multi-media event takes place in a beautiful yoga studio overlooking the glacial potholes. Half the seating is on chairs; half on bolsters on the wood floor. It's intimate and cozy. If you need a chair, please arrive on the early side (7 pm).

AN EVENING WITH RICHARD THOMPSON
Sunday, October 26 at 7:30 pm
The Latchis Theater in Brattleboro, VT
Named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the Top 20 Guitarists of all-time and the recent recipient of both an Ivor Novello Award for Songwriting and the 2006 BBC Lifetime Achievement Award, the iconic British folk rock legend is one of the world's most critically acclaimed and prolific songwriters. His work is admired and recorded by such artists as Bonnie Raitt, David Byrne and Elvis Costello.
From his teenage years as a founding member of the 1960's pioneering group Fairport Convention to duo work with his then-wife, Linda Thompson, and over 20 years as a solo artist, to scoring Werner Hertzog's 2005 documentary 'Grizzly Man', Richard Thompson's astounding body of work includes over 40 albums of lyrical wit anchored by such a singular acoustic and electric guitar delivery that Newsweek recently announced, 'like all genuine art, it satisfies completely.'
*TICKETS FOR THIS SHOW ARE AVAILABLE ONLY ONLINE AT THIS POINT.
All seating is general admission.
$33 advance / $36 day of shows
